Welcome to the Front Porch!

Hearken back to a time when people sat out on their front porches and greeted neighbors and passers-bye in person. Friends were welcome to "come on up and sit a spell." It was a time of friendliness and personal interaction before the programmed answering devices and computers greeted callers. Rarely will anyone encounter an answering machine at our office because people interacting with people is a key component of our practice philosophy. During regular office hours, we have a real person answering the telephone. A machine only comes on after hours or if all lines are tied up. By the same token, you are always welcome to come by and say, "Hi!" We like to know how you are doing even if you don't happen to have a dental appointment that day.

We also believe that diagnosis is the key to proper care. Therefore, even with what seems to be a straight forward problem, we will always take the time to try to discern the cause of the problem and what the best solution might be. We believe this greatly increases chances for any treatment to be a long-term success.

While the entire building is handicapped accessible, our spacious reception area, restroom, and treatment rooms are wheelchair friendly. Since we take seriously our commitment to confidential care, each operatory was specifically designed for your complete privacy.  Modern digital x-ray technology reduces radiation exposure, speeds efficiency of treatment, and eliminates use of environmentally toxic developing chemicals. Come by anytime and we will be happy to give you a tour of our facility!

We Will Help Make Your Insurance Benefits Work For You

There are many different types of dental insurance coverage with benefit plans that change yearly. There are trends common to many plans which make it more difficult to obtain needed dental services. Therefore:

• We participate only with insurance plans that allow the patient freedom of choice in selecting their dentist.
• As a budgetary courtesy, we are happy to submit a pre-authorization to your insurance company, but we do not advise delaying treatment if your insurance plan does not have adequate coverage. Dental decay cannot go away on its own and can only worsen over time.  Delaying needed treatment always becomes more expensive. No insurance? Because of our emphasis on diagnosis, we believe in helping you maximize the value of your hard-earned dollars spent on dentistry. We tailor our treatment options to your specific needs and see to it that you have the same access to care as our patients with insurance benefits.

Why the Lighthouse?

While it may not be the only lighthouse in Colorado, we admit there aren't very many of them. We chose a lighthouse for our logo because it represents stability in a sea of change and it embodies what we feel is the proper relationship between dentist and patient. Our philosophy is to provide knowledge, care, and guidance while the patient accepts the responsibility to follow through with treatment and home care. We cannot maintain our patients' health without their assistance anymore than a lighthouse can force a ship to follow the correct course.
